Bright Futures/Scholarships – Seniors are encouraged to take the ACT, SAT or ASVAB, TABE or PERT tests, depending on their goals. The ACT or SAT is required to qualify for the Bright Futures Scholarship. The most current information for dates of registration and changes in GPA’s and scores can be found here: www.brightfutures.org, www.act.org and www.collegeboard.org
During senior year, students and parents must fill out the federal FAFSA form (www.fafsa.gov) to receive any scholarships or Pell Grants.
Scheidel Scholarship and Pell Grant – The Foundation Academy graduates qualify to receive the Scheidel Scholarship. This is an exceptional opportunity! This pays for yearly, full time credits towards A.A., A.S., certain technical and workforce certificates, and bachelor’s degrees to attend FSCJ and, if financially qualified, UNF. The scholarship coordinator visits with students twice a year to make sure they understand all the requirements to successfully complete the scholarship components. Many of our students receive Pell Grants and work-study assistance to help with college expenses. TFA students can receive assistance to complete all the forms for these grants.
The Foundation Academy admits any student regardless of sex, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, or national and ethnic origin.
