SOUND! LIGHTS!

Students learn from professionals to be operators of the TFA sound and light systems. They run lights, sound, and other technologies for all TFA productions, events, and presentations. Students in this course also gain experience working with other groups and organizations using the TFA Black Box Theater in meeting their production needs.

STAGE CRAFT!

In stagecraft students learn the principles of set design and development involving the artwork, painting, and building/creation of sets, scenes, and props for a variety of production types including plays, concerts, festivals, special events, formal dances and dinners, and much more. They gain valuable hands-on experience with our professional artist-in-residence who brings many years of theater and artistic production experience to TFA. Students also maintain organization of backstage area, sets, props, and related equipment and materials, as well as helping maintain cleanliness of all aspects of the TFA Black Box Theater.
